If you have a paper-based Parent visa application sitting with the Department, you can now manage it online. From 24 April 2025, you can import your application into ImmiAccount.
This is a significant improvement.
What You Can Do Once Imported
Once your application is in ImmiAccount, you can:
• Upload supporting documents directly (no more posting)
• Receive messages from the Department in your account
• Update your contact details
• Track your application status in real time
No more waiting for postal correspondence. No more anxiety about whether documents arrived. If your application is refused, you will know immediately.
Who Can Use This
This applies to all new and existing paper-based Parent visa applications, except Parent (Subclass 103) applications lodged before November 2018.
If your application was lodged after November 2018, you can import it.
How to Import Your Application
1. Log in to your ImmiAccount
2. Select "Import Application"
3. Enter the main applicant's Application ID or Transaction Reference Number
4. Enter date of birth, passport number, and country
5. Select "Confirm"
Once confirmed, your application appears in ImmiAccount with full online access.
What Should You Do?
If you have a Parent visa application pending, import it into ImmiAccount now. The online access makes managing your case much easier, especially for uploading additional documents when requested.
